Day 2 - Candle Holder & Vase

 Candle Holder & Vase

I created a sphere first and I selected the points which is at the bottom part and scaled, translated it to make the base of the candle holder.

After that, I'm supposed to delete the top part of the sphere so I selected the primitives of the sphere and deleted it.

Next, I'll need to extrude the surface so I used the polyextrude.

So after that I scaled down the sizes of the candle holder a bit.

I'll head on to do the holes for the candle holder now. So I'll create a tube first and used the fuse node. However I'm not very sure what's the use of fuse node and the functions too.

After that, I added a copy node to duplicate the tubes into the candle holders.

However, the orientation is a bit wrong so I'll change the orientation of the tubes from Y to Z.

Next, I'll grouped the center part of the candle holder together.

So this is how it will look.

I'll then add a cookie node.

I've changed the cookie operation from union to a minus b.

This is the end of the cookie candle holder.

Vase
I found that this tutorial, the way that the vase was created is quite similar to how we create in maya. It's basically just drawing the side profile of the vase out and revolve it.
