Day 4 - Module 12

I've completed the compositing part for today. It was quite hard and challenging but I feel like it's quite different from the way we do compositing in nuke.
For the first part, I tried to use particles and do a short animation out then tried to use different passes to test out the render. So I've followed the tutorial and began.

The pattern that was created was rather quite nice. To render out float and vector values, we need to set up these parameter in the shop network.

So next, I moved on to the last example which is to composite a teapot. Firstly, I'll have to do some textures in the shop network.

It was actually quite complicated and some of the nodes I don't really know what is it for but as the Houdini tutorial teacher explains, I tried to follow and understand.

Test render out to see the current result.

So next, I went on to the composite part whereby I'll have to render out the wireframe and the colour for the teapot in order to composite it.

The compositing nodes were quite complicated but for some nodes I'll still get it like what does it used for.

This is the end result for the composited teapot.

This is actually the first time that I learn how to composite in Houdini instead of Nuke and it's quite interesting to explore although it might be complicated. Initially, before learning this composite, I didn't know that the "img" section is used for compositing and I really feel that I did learn a lot from this tutorial and also other previous tutorials too.
