For this module, I've learned about light, camera and render stuff. So I followed the tutorials and created out a scene for me to practice lighting, camera and rendering techniques. I actually learned a lot from this exercise because I wasn't being taught that detailed for this section in Houdini. I learned how to create those depth of field scenes, controlling cameras and also doing some camera editing technique which I really like it. It looks like some video editing but it's kind of using camera to cut from a long shot to close up shot.
I also get to explore stereo camera.
I actually learned that we can use a switcher to toggle between how many cameras that we want to show our animation which I find it very interesting. After that, I moved on to lights. For the lights in Houdini, it's very similar to Maya. They have point lights, area lights, directional lights those kind. So I tried to play around with the different kinds of lights and tested it out.
This is the point light that I'm testing out.
And this is the spot light
So I'm going to move on to module 08 now.
